Brian Walsh Hurleys – Returns, Refunds & Replacement Policy

At Brian Walsh Hurleys, we take pride in supplying high-quality hurleys made from premium ash, the traditional material used in the sport of hurling. Please read our policy carefully before purchasing.

1. Natural Material

• All hurleys are made from natural ash wood.
• Every hurley will vary in grain, density, flexibility, and strength.
• These natural variations are normal and do not constitute defects.
• Because of the natural properties of ash and the impact nature of hurling, the lifespan of a hurley cannot be predicted or guaranteed.

2. No Guarantee on Lifespan

• Brian Walsh Hurleys does not provide any warranty on the lifespan of a hurley.
• Breakages can occur during normal use in training or matches and are considered part of the sport.

3. Used Hurleys

• Once a hurley has been used in training, practice, or matches, it is deemed accepted by the customer.
• Used or broken hurleys are not eligible for replacement, refund, or credit.
• Once used, it is impossible for us to determine:
• • How the hurley was used
  • Force of impacts
  • Playing conditions
  • Contact with other hurleys or the ground

4. Customised Hurleys

• Hurleys that have been customised in any way cannot be returned, refunded, or exchanged.
• Customisation includes, but is not limited to:
• • Grip applied
  • Bands applied
  • Tape or other modifications
  • Any alteration requested by the customer
• Once customised, the hurley is considered a personalised product.

5. Returns

Returns are only accepted if:

• The item is unused
• The item is in original condition
• The item has not been customised
• The issue is reported within 48 hours of delivery
• Returns outside these conditions may be refused.

6. Incorrect or Damaged Items

• If an item arrives damaged or incorrect, notify us within 48 hours of delivery with photographic evidence.
• Claims made after this timeframe may not be accepted.

7. Return Authorisation

• No item may be returned without prior approval from Brian Walsh Hurleys.
• Unauthorised returns may be refused.

8. Return Shipping

• Customers are responsible for return shipping costs, unless the item was supplied incorrectly.
• Items remain the customer’s responsibility until received by us.

9. Inspection on Delivery

• Customers must inspect items immediately upon delivery.
• Failure to report issues within 48 hours will be taken as confirmation the item was received in satisfactory condition.

10. Natural Marks and Cosmetic Variation

• Ash is a natural wood, so minor marks, grain patterns, colour variation, or knots may appear.
• These do not constitute a defect.

11. Misuse or Improper Care

• Brian Walsh Hurleys accepts no liability for damage caused by misuse, improper storage, modification, or failure to maintain the hurley.
• Hurleys should be used only for their intended sporting purpose.

12. Acceptance of Policy

By purchasing from Brian Walsh Hurleys, the customer expressly acknowledges and agrees to this policy, including that:

• Hurleys are natural sporting equipment made from ash
• Breakages during normal use can occur
• Used or broken hurleys are not eligible for replacement or refund
• Customised hurleys cannot be returned or exchanged
• All sales are final, except for items damaged or supplied incorrectly as outlined above.  Items that have been sent incorrectly will not be exchanged if used.
